Darwin International Airport has welcomed approval of its Home and Lifestyle Super Centre Major Development Plan by the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Anthony Albanese.
Major Development Plans are required under the Federal Airports Act 1996 for any substantial development on airport land and include extensive public consultation and studies into environmental, social and economic impacts.
The Home and Lifestyle Super Centre represents the next exciting phase of Darwin International Airport’s commercial precinct and will provide a contemporary, air conditioned and centrally located destination for shoppers, with the added benefit of undercover parking.
The Major Development Plan is available for inspection by the public until Monday 23rd November 2009. To obtain copies of the Major Development Plan:
- visit the Darwin International Airport Management Centre at 1 Fenton Court, Marrara NT 0812, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday to view or purchase printed copies or pick up a free CD version of the MDP; or
