Darwin International Airport car park operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is situated directly in front of the Terminal.  The car park offers short and long term stays (same parking area and its competitive rates often provide better value for money than other forms of transport) with the added convenience of travelling at your own pace.

Drivers receive a ticket upon arrival at the entrance boom gate (please retain your ticket) and pay the fee at pay stations inside the terminal before returning to your vehicle.

Charges
A sliding scale of charges now applies for short-term parking, starting at $3 for half an hour to a maximum of $12 per day.  Long term rates are $12 per day or part there of for the first 7 days, and $10 per day after one week.  (Please note that the long term and short term car parks are the same facility).

Payment is calculated from the time of entry into the public car park. The pay stations offer cash and credit payment options and are located on the ground floor of the terminals. A receipt will be issued which becomes your exit pass. Alternatively, payment can be made at the exit machines by credit card only. Please note that a receipt will not be offered if you choose this payment option.

Cash is not accepted at the exit machines.

Car Park Entry
On approaching the entry of the public car park, stop at the boom gates, press the button on the entry machine for an entry pass. The boom gate will open once you take the ticket then you may enter the car park.  Retain your ticket when you enter the Terminal.

Payment
When you are ready to leave the Terminal, go to the pay stations on the ground floor and pay the exit fee at one of the many pay stations at the Terminal exits.

Insert your ticket into the pay station machine. The fee will be shown on the screen. The pay stations accept notes, coins and all major credit cards.

Payment for parking is calculated from your time of entry into the car park.  Once you have made payment take your receipt, which will be your exit pass.  As you leave the car park, scan the barcode of your exit pass at the exit machine. The boom gate will open and you may exit.

Lost Tickets
If you have lost your entry pass (ticket) contact security via the intercom at the pay station.  You will need to provide proof of car park entry date by producing your boarding pass or other documentation such as a travel itinerary.  If you cannot show any documentation you will be required to pay an exit fee of $150 by selecting "Lost Ticket" on the Pay Station.
