Terminal information

The terminal at Darwin International Airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Both domestic and international flights leave from the same building.

ATM
ATMs are located on the ground floor and first floor and both accept most major cards.

Amusement machines
Amusement machines are located on the ground floor and first floor.

Baby change facilities
Baby change rooms for parents are located on the ground and first floor.

Baggage trolleys
Baggage Trolleys are free of charge for passengers.  Trolley stands are located in the Baggage Collection area, Public Car Park, drop off/pick up zones and throughout the Terminal.

Change machines
Two change machines are located thronext to Vellutos cafe on the ground floor.

Disabled access
All Terminal facilities are accessible for wheelchairs. Wheelchairs are available on request from airline staff if required.

Disabled parking
Dedicated disabled parking bays are conveniently located on either side of the pedestrian walkways that lead to the Terminal. These bays are clearly marked and are restricted for vehicles displaying a valid Disability Permit. Disabled parking is located within the public car park, nearest to the terminal.

Foreign exchange
Foreign money exchange is available through Travelex located on the ground floor, and in the international departures lounge, there are also foreign currency ATMs located in the domestic lounge on the first floor and the international departures lounge. 

Lockers 
Lockers are located on the ground floor of the terminal building, next to the domestic baggage carousels.  They range in size from small (wallet size), to extra large (over-sized baggage, however cannot accommodate a surfboard or bike).  Allocation and payment of lockers is by a designated security guard at the location. Rates as follows:

• Small (wallet/keys. height 210mm, width 240mm, depth 440mm) - Free for the first 2 hours, then $4 per 24 hour period thereafter.
• Medium (backpack. height 575mm, width 390mm, depth 950mm) - $6 for the first 12 hours, then $6 per 24 hour period thereafter.
• Large (suitcase. height 870mm, width 390mm, depth 950mm) - $8 for the first 12 hours, then $8 per 24 hour period thereafter.
• X-Large (oversize. height 1760mm, width 390mm, depth 950mm) - $14 for the first 12 hours, then $14 per 24 hour period thereafter. 

Lost property

There is a lost property service at the Terminal Control Centre during business hours, see terminal map for location or by telephoning 61 8 8920 1805. If you left an item on the aircraft you travelled on, please contact the airline direct.

Postal box
A post box is located at the front of the Terminal.  Mail is collected once a day by Australia Post.

Shopping
The Terminal is home to several shopping options, visit the shopping & dining page for information.

Showers
Shower facilities are available through the First Floor of the Terminal in both International and Domestic areas see Terminal map for locations. The showers are available free of charge and cannot be booked in advance. Users must also provide their own consumables i.e. towels, soap etc...

Smoking areas
Darwin International Airport Terminal is a smoke free zone.  Click here to view information about permitted smoking areas.

Telephones
Telephones are conveniently located throughout the terminal and require either a telephone card or coins to activate.

Toilets
Toilets are located throughout the Ground and First Floor of the Terminal. See the terminal map for locations.

Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS)
Australian Customs Service operate the Tourist Refund Scheme. Counters are located past GATE 5 on the first floor. See the terminal map for location.

Transport
Taxis, Private Hire Cars and Shuttle Bus Services are readily available for hire by International and Domestic travellers and are located outside of the Terminal.

Water fountains
Drinking water is available from the water fountains located throughout the Terminal.

Wireless internet hotspot
Wireless internet is available on the first floor of the Terminal building.
