Australian Federal Police Building

Construction is underway on the first ever purpose-built accommodation for the Australian Federal Police at an airport in Australia.  The new building is targeting a 5 star Green Star environmental rating along with quality of design and construction that has become increasingly synonymous with property developments at Darwin International Airport. The development is the first on airport targeting the 5-Star rating which signifies “Australian Excellence” in ecologically sustainable design and construction.

Construction commenced in October 2010 and the project is currently on target with completion due in the third quarter of 2011. Darwin is the first of a number of similar projects across Australian airports. The building is located on the corner of Pedersen Road and Charles Eaton Drive on airport land and is the first development to be undertaken under Northern Territory Airport’s new property trust structure.
