Duty Free Allowances for Arriving Passengers
Duty free allowances apply to passengers entering Australia.
On arrival, each adult is allowed the following quantities of these items:
- 2250ml of alcoholic beverage
- 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of cigars or tabacco products (PLEASE NOTE: this is a revised limit effective 1 September 2012)
- Unlimited fragrance for personal use (excluding concentrates)
Each adult over 18 years is allowed AUD$900 worth of other goods, while each child is allowed AUD$450. Alternatively, you can combine your allowances on the one declaration with your immediate family (maximum two adults per family), which means two adults and two children = AUD$2700.
