Head of Airside Operations

Airport Development Group (ADG) owns and operates the Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek airports, the Darwin Airport Novotel and Mercure Hotels and has a significant property portfolio across the NT.

ADG is seeking an experienced Head of Airside Operations located in Darwin to manage the operational requirements at both Darwin and Tennant Creek Airports as well as delivering airfield operations to the required regulatory standards.

Reporting to the EGM Operations, the primary objective of this critical role is to provide strong and effective leadership for the airside operations teams. This senior position holds responsibility for delivering on the following objectives:

  • Delivering excellence in airport operations.
  • Develop a culture that delivers continuous improvement in safety, customer service and ensures compliance with CASA and corporate safety requirements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory and corporate safety requirements.
  • Engage effectively with diverse airport stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient operations.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership and people management with a focus on driving operational compliance and customer service.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Similar role experience of 5+ years at a significant regional or major airport, with strong working knowledge of CASA and DOIT regulations and relevant Australian aviation legislation pertaining to aerodromes.
