Manager Commercial - Terminals

Northern Territory Airports (NT Airports) is a subsidiary of the Airport Development Group (ADG) who manages and operates three Northern Territory Airports comprising Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Tennant Creek Airport.

Reporting to the Director of Commercial, your primary purpose will be to provide invaluable financial management, strategic planning and outstanding customer service to the airport terminal retail, advertising and other airport services business objectives.

The focus of the role is both strategic and day to day commercial operations, spanning all aspects of the business. The business operates in a 24 hour operational environment, and with broad responsibilities the position requires sound multi tasking ability.  You will be accountable for the overall commercial assessment of all contracts, agreements and tender documents including negotiation with external parties. Adding value through analysis, you will also assist senior management with strategic decision making, budget preparation and business forecasting.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Identify, scope,facilitate and execute sales and customer focussed activities
  • Develop and build constructive relationships across teams driving a collaborative approach to customer service
  • Understand customers decision making process, goals, objectives and strategies
  • Drive revenue opportunities in terminal retail, advertising and other airport services related activities.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Extensive experience in an airport business development/retail role or shopping centre management environment
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dedicated, driven
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Solid presentation and program design/documentation skills
  • Able to balance and prioritise strategic planning with responsibilities for day to day operations
