No Drone zone
Recreational use of drones in the airspace surrounding Darwin International Airport is not permitted at any time.

There are very limited situations, for commercial purposes only, where permission may be granted to operate a drone near Darwin International Airport. As Darwin International Airport is a joint user airport and shares airfield facilities with the RAAF Base Darwin, separate written approvals are required from the following organisations:
- the Department of Defence Air Traffic Control
- Darwin International Airport
