Terminal Front Upgrade: Important Travel Information
We’re giving the front of Darwin International Airport a fresh new look! Starting 9 March 2026, we’ll be upgrading the terminal exterior to create a better experience for our travellers. These works are expected to take approximately three months.
Taxi & Transport Changes
- Taxi Drop-offs: No change. These will continue as usual in the dedicated drop-off lane.
- Taxi Pick-ups: This zone is temporarily relocating to the Long Stay Plus car park.
- To get there: Exit the terminal via the far-end doors (near the car hire booths) and turn left. Follow the directional signage.
Terminal Access
- Entry & Exit: You can still enter and exit the terminal at all major points.
- Safety Closures: Please note that some automatic doors will be locked for safety reasons while construction is underway. Look for the "Alternative Entry" signs if your usual door is restricted.
