COVID-19 INFORMATION

NT Health has mandated the use of Face Masks in all Territory airports and Face Masks must be worn at all times in the terminal.

Our priority is the wellbeing and safety of everyone passing through or working at our airport.

DARWIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT UPDATE

Passengers departing Darwin International Airport from 4am Wednesday 27 January are advised works to upgrade the main passenger screening point area may result in short delays.

Works are expected to continue for 4-5weeks and processing will be through the eastern screening point, to the left of check-in counters.

Darwin International Airport apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause.

History Book

In 2016, Darwin International Airport launched a history book titled The World Flies in…and Darwin takes off! by celebrated local historians Peter and Sheila Forrest. The breadth of content and quality of this publication demonstrates the extensive history of aviation in the Northern Territory and contextualises it within broader Australian aviation history.

Peter and Sheila Forrest have so far published 22 major books about the people and places of northern and inland Australia. They have also authored innumerable newspaper stories and presented many broadcasts, films and videos.

The World Flies in…and Darwin takes off! is available at all good NT bookstores and News Travels in the Darwin Airport terminal. It is the perfect gift for Territorians interested in sharing part of the NT's fascinating  avaition history with friends, family and colleagues.
